Applying for a permit for a prostitution vehicle

Would you like to provide a prostitution vehicle? You need a permit for this.

Prostitution vehicles are vehicles that people use to offer sexual services. Any person providing such a prostitution vehicle requires a permit.

The following vehicles, for example, may be eligible:

• Bus
• camper van
• caravan
• boat

You will receive the permit for a specific operating concept and a specific vehicle with specific equipment.

The permit is limited to a maximum of 3 years. You can apply for the permit to be extended.

The competent authority may attach certain conditions or requirements to the permit.

If you wish to operate your prostitution business through a proxy, you will also require a proxy permit.

Please note that you may require further permits in addition to the permit requirement for the prostitution business. You may also be required to register elsewhere. This applies in particular to the following legal areas:

• Restaurant law
• trade law
• building law
• water law
• Immission control law

In certain cases, you also require a permit to use public road areas separately.

Sole proprietorship (natural person):

• Identity card, passport, electronic residence permit if applicable
• Operating concept
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority according to document type "0", or European certificate of good conduct

Companies (legal entities), for example limited liability companies (GmbH):

• Current excerpt from the commercial register or register of cooperatives
• Copy of the articles of association
• Operating concept
• Identity card, passport, electronic residence permit for legal representation if applicable
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority according to document type "0" for legal representation, or European certificate of good conduct

For prostitution vehicle license additionally:

• Operating license (registration certificate part I and part II)

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have undergone a background check by the competent authority.
• Your prostitution vehicle meets the minimum requirements for prostitution vehicles. These include
  • a sufficiently large interior
  • adequate interior fittings
  • adequate sanitary facilities
  • have a valid operating license
  • the vehicle is in a technically serviceable condition
  • the doors must meet certain requirements:
    • they must be able to be opened from the inside at all times
    • help must be available at all times via technical devices
    • they must meet the general requirements necessary for the protection of the prostitutes or sex workers working there in terms of equipment and quality
