Apply for fishing subsidies

If you are planning measures for the benefit of the Hessian fishing industry, you can apply for financial support in advance.

As an individual or organization, you can apply for financial support for certain measures in the area of fisheries. The overriding aim of these measures is to preserve biodiversity in and around bodies of water and to preserve and restore natural habitats on rivers and ponds.
In particular, the following are eligible for funding

• Measures to protect fish and fish species, including the ecological improvement of species composition and water body structure
• the reintroduction of fish
• further and advanced training and research in the field of fisheries
• conservation associations to enable them to fulfill their statutory duties
• the renovation and new construction of angling facilities
• Eligible applicants are
• Holders of a Hessian fishing right
• fishing cooperatives
• Angling and fishing clubs
• Fishing leaseholders and leaseholder associations
• Hessian fishing associations
• Hegegemeinschaften according to § 27 HFischG
• Other bodies under public or private law that promote fishing through their special focus

You can apply for funding in writing or online before the start of the project at the regional council responsible for you.

• You must be an eligible individual or organization
• You must apply for funding before the measure begins
  

There is no legal entitlement to funding.

You can apply for fisheries funding in writing or online to the regional council responsible for you before the measure begins.

If you wish to apply for funding in writing:

• Download the application forms "Mantelbogen" and "Kosten- und Finanzierungsplan" and, depending on the subject of the funding, other forms from the website of the regional council responsible for you
• Complete the applications and any other forms, sign them and send them to the regional council responsible for you
• If requested by the licensing authority, you must provide further suitable documentation to support the information provided
• Please note the validity of the de minimis rule
• The regional council responsible for you will check your documents and approved grants will be paid out

There are no deadlines. Applications can be submitted throughout the year.
