Description
Inspection experts for earthworks and foundation engineering certify the completeness and correctness of the information on the subsoil with regard to material stock, structure and geological influences, its load-bearing capacity and the assumptions made regarding the foundation or embedding of the structure.
As an engineer, you can be recognised as a test expert for earthworks and foundation engineering under certain conditions.

- Proof of a degree at a German university or an equivalent degree at a domestic or foreign university in the field of civil engineering, geotechnics or in a course of study with a focus on engineering geology
- Proof of at least nine years of practical special professional experience
- Submission of a list of all subsoil reports prepared within a period of two years prior to the submission of the application
- Proof of possession of the necessary test equipment or assurance of the free availability of the test equipment and test results
Prerequisites
You must provide proof of a degree at a German university or an equivalent degree from a domestic or foreign university in the field of civil engineering, geotechnics or in a course of study with a focus on engineering geology.
You must provide proof of at least nine years of practical special professional experience, of which at least 3 years in earthworks and foundation engineering with the preparation or assessment of stability certificates.

Procedure
Insofar as the general requirements and the special professional recognition requirements are met, the Chamber of Engineers of Hesse obtains a written expert opinion from the Advisory Board for Earthworks and Foundation Engineering formed by the Federal Chamber of Engineers on the applicant's professional suitability and his or her equipment with the necessary equipment and aids.

Annual fee: Administrative fine 125,00 EUR
one-time procedural fee: Administrative fine from 575,00 EUR to 748,00 EUR
