Municipal Integration Services Authorisation

If you receive citizens' allowance and have difficulties finding a job due to your personal life situation, you can take advantage of counselling and support services at your local job centre.

If you receive a citizen's allowance, you can take advantage of municipal integration benefits.

Your local job centre can support you with debt counselling, psychosocial support and addiction counselling. Your local job centre can also assist you in caring for relatives at home or in the care of minor children or children with disabilities if these personal obligations prevent professional integration.

In debt counselling, you will receive help in sorting out your financial circumstances as well as debt repayment in order to improve the conditions for professional integration.

Psychosocial support is available if you need support in the event of mental problems or crisis situations so that your employability can be stabilised again.

Addiction counseling offers you support regardless of the type or severity of the addiction. This can be general advice about the dangers of addiction, addictive substances or dependence. In addition, you can be supported in referring you to further offers of help.

If you are looking after children or caring for relatives at home, your local job centre can organise support from third parties so that you can pursue gainful employment.

You can take advantage of municipal integration benefits if:

• you receive a citizen's allowance,

• you need debt counselling, psychosocial counselling and addiction counselling and/or

• You have a proven track record of supporting the

need care for minor children or children with disabilities or when caring for relatives at home, and

• this municipal benefit is necessary for integration into work.

Please note that you are not legally entitled to municipal integration benefits. Whether and to what extent you receive support is decided by your responsible job centre.

• You have to receive a citizen's allowance.
• Debt counseling, psychosocial counseling or addiction counseling is needed.
• You demonstrably need support in caring for minor children or children with disabilities or in caring for relatives at home.
• This municipal benefit must be necessary for integration into work.

Objection: An objection may be lodged against a decision within one month of its notification. Further information on how to file an objection can be found in the notification of your application.

In principle, you can take advantage of municipal integration benefits from your responsible job centre:

• You can make an appointment for a consultation with your contact person at the Jobcenter.
• We will then discuss with you whether a municipal integration service is possible and what support services can be offered.
• If municipal integration services are possible, your contact person will discuss with you what the further procedure looks like.
• You will receive the relevant documents from the contact person.
• If necessary, fill out the documents, attach the required supporting documents and send the documents back to your local job centre.
• However, you also have the option of submitting the application online. To do this, the online application must be completed and the necessary supporting documents must be uploaded, if required.
• Please note that you need a positive approval notice from your responsible job centre before incurring costs for childcare or home care for relatives.
• The refundable costs will be transferred to the account you have specified.

Note (for more information on the deadline): You must make use of the municipal integration services at your local job centre before the costs are incurred.

There is no deadline.
