    The information on building encumbrances or the copy from the register of building encumbrances informs you whether a plot of land benefits from or is encumbered by obligations under public law.

    Description

    The information on building encumbrances/copy from the register of building encumbrances provides information on whether and, if so, which public-law obligations (building encumbrances) are entered in the register of building encumbrances in favor of or against a property.

    These may, for example, be building encumbrances that affect the structural usability of the property (e.g. taking over a clearance area or a parking space) or improve it (e.g. a building encumbrance for unification).

    Building encumbrances can therefore also affect the value of the property. For real estate financing, banks generally require up-to-date information from the register of building encumbrances.

    Information on building encumbrances can be provided verbally or in writing. If you would like written information (copy), please send an informal letter (or e-mail) to the lower building supervisory authority with a request for information from the register of building encumbrances. The letter/e-mail must state which property/parcel (street and house number or cadastral designation) the information relates to and you must explain your legitimate interest.
