Applying for an extension of the type approval for construction projects at several locations

If you have permission to erect structures with a specific system at several locations (valid for five years), you can also have this extended.

For structures that are to be erected in the same design at several locations, a type approval that has already been granted will be extended by the Giessen Regional Council upon application under certain conditions if the structures or parts of structures meet the requirements of the legal basis or regulations issued on the basis of this Act.

A type approval can also be extended for structures that are to be built in different designs but according to a specific system and from specific components in several locations (facilitation of serial and modular construction).

The type approval does not release from the obligation to carry out a building inspection procedure.

You can file an administrative appeal within one month of notification.

You submit an informal application for an extension of the type approval to the responsible building authority (send to the functional mailbox).

The application must be received before the expiry date.

The fees are calculated according to the time required, but amount to at least EUR 100.
