Apply for type approval for structures with a specific system

If you want to erect structures in the same design or with a specific system in several locations, you can obtain a permit for this type of structure under certain conditions.

For structures that are to be erected in the same design at several locations, a type approval will be granted by the Giessen Regional Council on application under certain conditions if the structures or parts of structures meet the requirements of the legal basis or regulations issued on the basis of this Act.

A type approval can also be granted for structures that are to be erected in different designs but according to a certain system and from certain components at several locations (facilitation of serial and modular construction).

Department 32 - Type Approval of the Giessen Regional Council is responsible.

• Application
• Proof of stability including the fire resistance duration of load-bearing components, preventive fire protection, sound insulation and thermal insulation
• Verification for energy generation systems

• The structures must be erected in the same design at several locations.
• The structures or parts of the structures meet the requirements of the legal bases.
• If the structures are built in different designs, they must at least be built according to a certain system and from certain components (facilitation of serial and modular construction)

You can file an administrative appeal within one month of notification.

• You fill out the form and submit it together with the required documents to the responsible building authority (send it to the functional mailbox)
• The building authority (RP Gießen) checks your application and the documents
• If all requirements are met, the building authority will issue the type approval
  

The amount of the fees depends on the structural costs of the building.

There are no indications or special features.
