Continuation of accommodation / assistance for young adults Accompaniment

If it is important for their development, young adults can also receive educational support after their 18th birthday and be placed in full-time care.

    Description

The goals of full-time foster care are not achieved in the short term. Help can be continued when a foster child turns 18. This is to ensure that progress made in the development of the young adult is not jeopardized. Young adults receive help as long as their personal development does not allow them to lead a self-determined, independent and autonomous lifestyle.

If help is continued, the previous offer will be continued.

The continuation of assistance must be applied for before the 18th birthday. It can be granted up to the age of 21. In exceptional cases, it can also be granted beyond this age.
