Description
By acquiring the AdA certificate, you will receive a pedagogical qualification as an instructor for training in recognized training occupations in accordance with the Vocational Training Act within the framework of the requirements of the Training Aptitude Ordinance. This enables you to support your training authority in fulfilling the legal and primarily the special requirements in all matters relating to good training.
As a training institution (trainer), you are obliged to appoint a sufficient number of qualified trainers for each occupational profile in order to maintain training suitability.

Prerequisites
- You fulfill the requirements for personal aptitude according to § 29 BBiG
- You have a professional aptitude in the profession you have learned in accordance with § 30 BBiG. (If you cannot provide proof of professional aptitude in this occupation, you cannot be registered as an "appointed trainer in this training occupation" after obtaining the AdA certificate).
- You have attended a course in accordance with the recommendation of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training for the teaching of vocational and occupational pedagogical skills, knowledge and experience. Alternatively: This course may be omitted if you can provide evidence of sufficient relevant professional knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.

Legal remedy
You can lodge a complaint with the administrative court.
Procedure
The application for admission to this further training course can be submitted electronically to the competent body.
The competent body will check the relevant data and documents in accordance with the Vocational Training Act.
If necessary, the competent body will contact you with any queries, additional requests for documents or to rectify any deficiencies.
At the end of the procedure, you will receive a corresponding letter of admission from the competent body; at the same time, the competent examination board will receive the letter of admission, if necessary with documents relevant to the examination, as an order to take the examination.
Deadlines
Application deadline: 3 months (The application must be submitted up to 3 months before the start of the further education or training course. If the application is not submitted on time, participation in the upcoming course is not possible.)

3 to 5 weeks (At peak times (e.g. during exam periods or before vacations), this period may be longer.)
