Apply for recognition of a course for the acquisition or updating of the required expertise in radiation protection
In order to acquire the necessary expertise in radiation protection, people must take part in courses. If you want to organize courses to provide participants with the necessary knowledge in radiation protection, the competent body must check whether your course is suitable.
Description
If you wish to have courses to acquire and update the necessary specialist knowledge in radiation protection recognized, the competent body will check whether
- the course content conveys the necessary skills and knowledge in radiation protection,
- the teaching staff are competent,
- the teaching materials used and the equipment of the course center ensure that the knowledge is imparted
- and a performance review takes place.
This applies to the areas of application
- Human medicine
- veterinary medicine
- dentistry or
- for non-medical areas of application
If the requirements are met, your courses will be recognized.

Prerequisites
You must provide evidence of the following:
- Your course in radiation protection conveys the contents of the technical guideline to the participants
- the teaching staff is suitable for this

- there is a performance review

Legal remedy
If your course is not recognized, you can file a complaint with the competent administrative court after receiving the notification.
Procedure
You can send the documents for your planned course by post or electronically.
The competent body will check whether the course you are planning is suitable.
If the course meets all the requirements, the course will be recognized. You will then receive a written notification.
Deadlines
The application should be submitted before the radiation protection course is held.

Administrative fine from 40,00 EUR to 1.500,00 EUR (Information on cost composition can be found here)
