Advice and support for caregivers

    Children and young people in full-time foster care have special needs, which is why foster carers are entitled to advice and support from the Youth Welfare Office's specialist foster care service before taking on the child or young person and for the duration of the foster care relationship.

    Continuous and close support is important for the protection of foster children, the stability of a foster relationship and the satisfaction of foster carers and foster families in order to build up a stable relationship of trust
