Youth hunting license New issue of day hunting license

If the validity of your youth hunting license expires or has already expired and you wish to continue hunting, you must have it extended.

If you would like to hunt in Germany but are not yet 18 years old, you can only be issued a youth hunting license in your name. If you already have a hunting license but its validity has expired, you can apply for an extension.

§ Section 15 (1) - (3) and (5) and Section 16 of the Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a youth hunting license.

The daily hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days.

The youth hunting license only entitles the holder to hunt in the company of a person with parental authority or a supervisor appointed in writing by the person with parental authority; the accompanying person must be experienced in hunting.

The youth hunting license does not entitle the holder to participate in group hunts.
