If you are a sport shooter and have a green gun ownership card (WBK), you must have your recognized shooting club confirm that you need this weapon to practice your sport.

With the pre-registration, you have 1 year to acquire a weapon requiring a permit.

In the application, you only need to state what type of weapon and caliber you wish to purchase. Further details such as manufacturer and exact model are not required. You must then provide this information in the notification when you report the purchase to the competent authority. The firearms dealer also reports the purchase of the firearm.

Your reliability under firearms law, personal suitability and expertise will not be checked again for the pre-registration. However, you must prove that you can safely store the weapon you wish to purchase.
