Simplified procedure according to BImSchG approval

If you submit an application under the simplified procedure for the approval of installations, you can obtain a permit for the construction and/or operation of installations of a certain type or scope from the competent authority without public participation.

Permits for installations of a certain type or size may be granted in a simplified procedure. In these cases, the procedure is carried out without public participation.

The permit will be granted to you if the fulfillment of the obligations under the Federal Immission Control Act is ensured and the project does not conflict with any other public law regulations or occupational health and safety concerns. Whether a simplified approval procedure is possible for your project depends on Annex 1 of the Ordinance on Installations Requiring Approval (4th BImSchV).

• The competent authority shall immediately acknowledge receipt of the application and the attached documents in writing or electronically.
• Upon receipt of the application, the competent authority will inform you of the additional documents it needs to assess the requirements.
• You can only start your project after receiving the permit.
