If your address changes, you must also have it changed in the electronic proof of identity (online ID function) in your ID card, your electronic residence permit or your eID card for EU citizens.

The electronic proof of identity is the online ID function of your ID card, your electronic residence permit or the eID card for EU citizens, which you can use, for example, to complete digital administrative procedures or to identify yourself on the Internet for online services.
If your address changes, you must have the address on these documents changed.
You can apply for a change of address on the chip of your ID card or your eID card for EU citizens either online (if the local authority at your new place of residence offers electronic residence registration) or in person at the citizens' registration office at your new place of residence. You can have the address on the chip of the electronic residence permit changed in person at the immigration office at your new place of residence.
You must present your registration confirmation as proof of your new address.

If electronic residence registration is offered at your new place of residence, you can use the online service.

Otherwise, please contact the relevant authority:

• Identity card/eID card for EU citizens: Citizens' office at your new place of residence
• Electronic residence permit: competent foreigners authority at your new place of residence

• current confirmation of registration

• You have a valid identity card, an electronic residence permit or an eID card for EU citizens.
• You have a current registration confirmation as proof of your change of address.

You can apply for a change of address on your electronic proof of identity card or eID card for EU citizens online (if the local authority at your new place of residence offers electronic residence registration) or in person at the citizens' registration office at your new place of residence.
You can apply for the change of address on the chip of the electronic residence permit in person at the relevant immigration office at your new place of residence.

• At an appointment with the authorities, present your valid identity card, the electronic residence permit or the eID card for EU citizens and your confirmation of registration.
• Your authority will save your new address on the chip of your ID card, on the electronic residence permit or on the eID card for EU citizens.
