Tracking attacks by animals
In the event of a present threat to public safety posed by animals, either the police (tel: 110) or the emergency services (tel: 112) must be informed immediately. Otherwise, the competent regulatory authority must be notified.
Description
If animals (domestic animals and wild animals) are currently endangering public safety, you should immediately inform either the police on 110 or the emergency services on 112.
This concerns the public safety of

- other animals, or
- road safety
These bodies will, where appropriate, inform the competent authorities or eliminate the risk themselves.
If a dog biting incident has occurred, if a dog has jumped at a person in a dangerous manner or caused a danger by a sudden tearing away (for example in road traffic), a report should be filed immediately with the responsible regulatory authority or the police.
