Tracking attacks by animals

In the event of a present threat to public safety posed by animals, either the police (tel: 110) or the emergency services (tel: 112) must be informed immediately. Otherwise, the competent regulatory authority must be notified.

If animals (domestic animals and wild animals) are currently endangering public safety, you should immediately inform either the police on 110 or the emergency services on 112.

This concerns the public safety of

• People
• other animals, or
• road safety

These bodies will, where appropriate, inform the competent authorities or eliminate the risk themselves.

If a dog biting incident has occurred, if a dog has jumped at a person in a dangerous manner or caused a danger by a sudden tearing away (for example in road traffic), a report should be filed immediately with the responsible regulatory authority or the police.
 

Please contact the competent regulatory authority or the police.

The notification or notification of the facts can be made informally (in writing, by e-mail, orally on the record with the competent authority).

If necessary, the competent regulatory authority shall also provide notification forms.
 

• Call to the public order office, personal appearance, written notification
• Notification of where and when the animal/dog attack was seen
• Notification of the tax number and the dog owner (if known)
• Notification of identification tag for farmed animals (if known)
• Information on the course of events and possible witnesses
• if public order office cannot be reached, then inform the police
