Show fumigation
If you wish to carry out a fumigation activity, you must notify the competent authority.
Description
Anyone who intends to carry out fumigation with fumigants on a commercial basis or independently as part of other economic activities when a fixed installation is first commissioned or outside a fixed installation must notify the competent authority in writing.
In addition, a collective notification can be approved if fumigation is repeated regularly and the conditions described in the notification remain unchanged.
For activities involving fumigants, the requirements of Annex I No. 4 GefStoffV must be observed in addition to the basic obligations of the GefStoffV.
Competent office
Responsibility lies with the occupational health and safety departments of the regional councils (RP) of the state of Hesse.

Required documents
Company-related notification
- of the employer:
- the name of the applicant,
- the address of the business premises,
- details of the risk assessment,
- proof of expertise, if applicable.
Activity-related notification
- The employer must state
- the date of the activities, including the planned work steps and the expected start and end of the activities, as well as the dates of the leak test and release, if these are required,
- the name and authorization or registration number of the biocidal product or plant protection product and the quantity used,
- the name of the person responsible and, where necessary, other holders of certificates of competence and
- copies of the certificates of competence and
- a site plan of the location or the object to be fumigated.

Prerequisites
Fumigation may only be carried out if it is not expected to have any harmful effects on the health of humans, non-target organisms or the environment in individual cases.

Legal remedy
The legal remedy will be communicated in the notification.
Procedure
You can notify the competent authority of a fumigation activity by e-mail or post.
You submit the required documents with your notification.
The competent authority will check your notification for completeness.
Deadlines
The legally prescribed deadlines must be observed.
