Applying for the recognition of a specialist course for biocidal products

If you want to offer a training course for the use of biocidal products requiring expert knowledge, you must have the course recognized by the competent authority.

If you want to offer a course for one or more uses of biocidal products that require expert knowledge, you must have the course recognized by the competent authority.

These may be, for example, courses for carrying out fumigation or for the use of biocidal products that are used in the hygiene sector, as pesticides or as protective agents to prevent the formation of microbes and algae.

The regional council of Kassel is responsible

Please contact the Specialist Center for Product Safety and Hazardous Substances of the Kassel Regional Council.

Teaching material or documents relating to the course concept of the course to be recognized. These documents should also include the following:

• Course program o Course content
• Instructors and their qualifications
• Timetable with details of the lecturers for the teaching unit
• Contents of the presentations as short contributions
• Information on the teaching material
• Draft of a course certificate
• Examination documents and information on the examination procedure (e.g. examination sheet with assessment and marking of correct answers), concept for the practical examination
• Description of the demonstration exercises and drills
• Equipment of the course location and equipment for the practical exercises

• The training course concept fulfills the requirements for a training course for the acquisition of expertise in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Ordinance § 15c para. 3 in conjunction with Annex I, No. 4.4 para. 3 and 4
• Professionally qualified teaching staff

The legal remedy will be communicated in the notification.

You can submit the recognition of an expert training course to the competent authority by e-mail or post.

• You submit the required documents to the competent authority.
• The competent authority checks your documents and requests further information or documents if necessary.
• The competent authority grants or rejects the recognition.

The examination date should be agreed with the Kassel Regional Council in good time (at least three months) before the intended examination.
