You are entitled to apply for a multilingual form of a death certificate as:

• spouse and partner of the deceased person,
• ancestor or descendant of the deceased person,
   
• siblings of the deceased person, if you demonstrate a legitimate interest, or
• another person, if you demonstrate a legal interest.

You must be at least 16 years old.

The application for the issuance of a multilingual form for a German death certificate must be submitted orally or in writing to the competent registry office.

12.00 euros (if each additional copy is ordered at the same time, 6.00 euros each), unless the municipality has set a different fee by statute.
