Description
If a supervisor has been appointed for you on a permanent basis, you can be exempted from the ID requirement – i.e. from the obligation to have an identity card.
You can revoke the exemption at any time. To do this, it is sufficient to apply for an identity card or passport.

Procedure
You must apply in writing for exemption from the identification requirement.
- You complete the application for exemption from the ID requirement together with your supervisor or
- You have your supervisor fill out the application.
- You and the supervisor sign the application.
- They attach the necessary documents.
- You send the application and the documents to the competent identity card authority in your municipality or
- You and your supervisor go personally to the competent authority.
- The authority will issue you with an open-ended certificate stating that you are exempt from the ID requirement.
- If you apply in person, you will immediately receive confirmation of the exemption. If you apply in writing, the competent authority will send you the confirmation.
