If you wish to operate a holding whose activity consists in placing hatching eggs in incubators, incubating those eggs and supplying chicks, you must, on application, be registered by the competent body.

If you want to run an establishment whose activity consists in placing hatching eggs in incubators, incubating these eggs and supplying chicks, you must register with the competent body on application.
The following establishments must be registered:
- Hatcheries with a capacity of 1,000 hatching eggs or more.
- breeding and multiplying establishments with a capacity of 100 birds or more

Procedure
Apply to the competent body for registration of your hatchery using the prescribed form.
- The competent body will examine your application and you will receive written notification of the outcome.
- With the registration, an identification number will be assigned to your farm.
