Incineration and co-incineration of waste Measurement continuous
The results of the continuous measurements must be submitted annually to the competent authorities for examination.
Description
As an operator of a plant for the incineration or co-incineration of waste, you are obliged to continuously determine emissions and certain operating parameters through continuous measurements in order to monitor emissions of air pollutants and to assess proper operation. A measurement report on the results of the continuous measurements shall be drawn up for each calendar year and submitted to the competent authority for review by 31 March of the following year.

Forms
With regard to the contents of the measurement report on continuous measurements, reference is made to the circular of the BMU "Federal Uniform Practice in the Monitoring of Emissions" and the requirements for evaluation systems contained therein.
The content of the reports on functional tests and calibrations of measuring equipment for continuous measurements should comply with the requirements of guideline VDI 3950 Part 2.

This administrative service does not constitute an administrative act. For this reason, no remedy will result.
Procedure
The official requirements for carrying out the continuous measurements as well as for the submission of the measurement report result from the approval notice and the regulations of the 17th BImSchV.
In the future, the measurement report will be submitted via the online portal "EMBE-Online".
Deadlines
The continuous measurement report shall be submitted to the competent authority for review by 31 March of the following year. The reports on the results of the calibration and the functional test shall be submitted within twelve weeks of calibration and testing.
Costs
The fee is calculated according to the time required for the competent authority to review emission measurement reports of the bodies notified in accordance with § 29b BImSchG.
