If you are entered in the register of owners of a business in a craft that does not require a license or a trade similar to a craft and you give up the business, you must have your entry deleted at the relevant Chamber of Crafts.

To have a business deleted from the register of owners of a business in a craft that does not require a license or a trade similar to a craft, submit an application for deletion to the relevant Chamber of Skilled Crafts.

Reasons for deletion include

• Cessation of your business (also for economic reasons)
• Business reorganization/change of legal form
• Death of the business owner or transfer of the business to a new business owner
• Relocation of the business to another Chamber of Crafts district

The deletion can take place at the earliest on the day on which the termination of the commercial activity becomes known (receipt of the application by post). Retroactive deletion is not possible.

Deletion is carried out ex officio if the registration requirements have ceased to apply and no application for deletion has been submitted, for example if a temporary exemption permit expires, if a legally binding trade prohibition is presented or if self-employment is not proven.

Once the deletion has been carried out, the authorization to exercise the craft or craft-like trade in question expires.

• You submit an application to the relevant Chamber of Skilled Crafts for deletion from the "Register of owners of a business in a craft that does not require a license or a trade similar to a craft". The registration form is available online, depending on the services offered by the Chamber of Skilled Crafts. You can also submit your documents in person and complete the application on site.
• It is also possible to complete the procedure via a single point of contact, such as the "single point of contact" responsible for the place of business.
• After examination by the competent Chamber of Skilled Crafts, you will be deleted from the "Register of proprietors of a business in a skilled trade not requiring a license or a trade similar to a skilled trade".
