Portable shooting range - show start or end of operation

If you start or stop the operation of a portable shooting range, you must indicate this.

The commencement and termination of operation of the shooting range must be notified to the competent authority in writing or electronically.

Failure to report is an administrative offence under Section 53 (1) (8) of the Weapons Act.

The responsibility lies with the weapons authority.

Permission to operate a portable shooting range was granted before it was first set up.  

The notification must be made by the permit holder to the weapons authority responsible for the location of the shooting range.

The notification must be made in writing or electronically two weeks before the start or termination of operations.
