Youth health examination
You can take advantage of health examinations for your children. Thus, the general state of health and age-appropriate development of a child is regularly examined by a doctor. Possible problems or abnormalities can be detected and treated at an early stage.
Description
The statutory health insurance funds cover the costs of medical screening examinations for insured children and adolescents, which are also known as J-examinations. Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 can take advantage of the examinations. They serve the early detection of diseases that endanger their physical, mental or psycho-social development.
Details of the content, type and scope of the examinations are regulated by the Federal Joint Committee in the Guideline for Youth Health Examination (J1).
