Commissioning Low frequency system display
Do you want to operate a low-frequency system or a direct current system? Then you must notify the relevant immission control authority under certain conditions.
Description
As the operator of a low-frequency system with a rated voltage of 110 KV or more or a direct current system, you are obliged to notify the competent authority before commissioning or making a significant change.
The competent authority will check the notification and record the installation in its register of installations.
Competent office
The responsible authorities are the Hessian regional councils of Darmstadt, Giessen and Kassel as the state's higher immission control authorities.

Prerequisites
The prerequisite is that
- the installation is located on a property in the area of a development plan or within a built-up district or on a property with residential buildings in an outdoor area or crosses such properties,
- the installation or its substantial modification does not require a permit, planning approval or other official decision in which the interests of immission control are taken into account.

Procedure
The notification must be submitted in writing by post or electronically to the competent authority.
Deadlines
The notification must be submitted to the competent authority at least two weeks before the system is commissioned or before a significant change is made to the system.
