If you want to control pests professionally with poisons, you are not allowed to simply do this, but must first inform the authorities responsible for this.
Description
The authority issues a certificate of competence for the respective activity. Proof must be provided that the personnel requirements for pest control are met.

Required documents
- Proof of expertise: Anyone who regularly undergoes further training and
- passed the examination in accordance with the ordinance on the examination for the recognized qualification "Certified Pest Controller" or
- has passed the examination to become an assistant or master pest controller under the law no longer in force in the old federal states or under the law of the former GDR or
- has demonstrably acquired comparable expertise in a member state of the European Communities.
- Anyone who has passed an examination or successfully completed training that has been recognized by the competent authority as equivalent to the above-mentioned examinations is also deemed to be competent.

Pest control must be carried out in such a way that people and the environment are not endangered.

Processing takes place promptly after receipt of the application for a certificate.
Costs
There are no costs for the certificate of competence as part of a training course. If the training is carried out privately, the costs depend on the course provider. These usually include the examination fees.
