Manufacture and/or trade in arms - View the opening or closing of a branch or branch

If you open or close the operation of a branch or dependent branch for the commercial manufacture of weapons and/or the arms trade, you must report this.

Notification of the opening or closure of a branch or dependent branch for the commercial manufacture and/or trade of weapons must be made in writing to the competent authority.

Failure to report is an administrative offence pursuant to Section 53 (1) No. 8 of the Weapons Act.

In Hesse, the district or the district-free city is responsible as the lower weapons authority, in whose district the main commercial establishment is located.

• Weapons manufacturing permit or weapons trade permit

The weapons manufacturing permit or arms trade permit has been issued.

The notification must be made by the holder of the weapons manufacturing or weapons trade licence to the weapons authority responsible for the place of the branch or dependent branch.

The notification must be made within two weeks of opening or closing.

There are no fees.
