Notification of the commencement or cessation of operations for the commercial manufacture of weapons and/or the arms trade Acceptance

If you manufacture weapons on a commercial basis and/or trade in weapons, you must notify the commencement or cessation of operations.

The commencement or cessation of operations for the commercial manufacture and/or trade of weapons must be notified to the competent authority.

In Hesse, the district or the district-free city is responsible as the lower weapons authority, in whose district the main commercial establishment is located.

• Weapons manufacturing permit or weapons trade permit

The weapons manufacturing permit or weapons trade permit must have been issued.

The notification must be made by the holder of the weapons manufacturing permit or the weapons trade permit to the weapons authority responsible for the location of the premises.

The notification must be made within two weeks of the commencement or cessation of operations.

There are no fees.
