If the data in your identity card is no longer up-to-date, you must have this changed as soon as possible.
Description
Your data in the identity card must always be up-to-date, otherwise the ID card will be invalid. In case of changes, you must apply for a new identity card. Exception: Change of address (change in chip and address label)

If the issuance of a new identity card is required, the fees are based on § 1 of the Ordinance on Identity Card Fees (PAuswGebV). The change of address on the identity card is free of charge according to § 1 Abs. 5 Personalausweisgebührenverordnung (PAuswGebV).
