Club-owned sports facility construction

The Hessian state government grants all sports clubs that are members of the Landessportbund Hessen e.V. grants for the construction of their own sports facilities.

Grants are awarded for

• the new construction, replacement construction or extension of sports facilities
• the extension or conversion of sports facilities
• the renovation and modernization of sports facilities
• the equipping of sports facilities

Priority is given to the renovation and maintenance of existing sports facilities.

• The club must be a member of the Landessportbund Hessen e.V.
• Measure must be listed as a priority by the district

Information on legal remedies is included in the funding decision.

First of all, a notification of need must be submitted via the respective local authority (district, independent city or city with special status). For each year, the local authority draws up a list of proposals (known as a priority list) for the projects registered in the respective district or city. The priority lists are submitted to the Ministry of the Interior. All measures that are included in the investment program are then invited to submit an application.
