The Federal Insurance Office (BVA) is responsible for supervising the federally funded health and long-term care insurance funds, the federally funded accident insurance funds, the Artists' Social Insurance Fund as well as the German Federal Pension Insurance Fund and the German Pension Insurance Fund for Miners, Rail and Sea and maternity benefits.
