If you rent or buy a second or secondary residence in addition to your existing home, you must register this with the Beitragsservice. This also applies to exclusively privately used vacation homes and caravans that you use predominantly on a permanent basis.

You must register the additional apartment in writing with the responsible office. To do this, fill out the form provided. It is usually available from your local authority. You can download it from the Internet or register online.
