Inspection of the foundation directory

The regional councils and the City of Frankfurt am Main maintain a central electronic information system on foundation information for foundations with legal capacity.

The following are entered in the register of foundations:

• the name of the foundation,
• the legal nature of the Foundation,
• the seat of the Foundation,
• the purpose of the Foundation,
• the address of the Foundation,
• the bodies and persons authorised to represent them and the nature of their power of representation,
• the date of recognition,
• the competent supervisory authority.

The register of foundations is maintained by the regional councils, for foundations based in Frankfurt by the city of Frankfurt am Main.

There are no costs or fees for viewing the foundation directory, which is published on the Internet.
