Apply for a private storage contract for sheep and goat meat
If you produce or sell sheep or goat meat, you can receive aid for the private storage of meat during EU market organization measures. To do so, first apply to the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food for private storage.
Description
The European Union (EU) can support agricultural market prices by granting aid for the private storage of sheep or goat meat. This can support you as a market participant in crises in the sheepmeat or goatmeat sector.
Only when the EU Commission publishes a corresponding market regulation measure can you, as a trader or producer of sheep or goat meat, apply to the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) to conclude a storage contract for private storage. Storage over contractually agreed periods relieves the markets and stabilizes prices.
Detailed information on the framework conditions can be found in the relevant announcement.
