Description
The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Home Affairs (BMLEH) supports compulsory internships in Germany for young people from Eastern European and Central Asian countries working in the agricultural sector. These include the following countries:
- Ukraine
- Kyrgyzstan
- Kazakhstan
- Uzbekistan
The internship is intended to enable students of agriculture to continue their education in Germany. They should gain an insight into German agricultural structures and deepen their existing knowledge and skills. As future specialists and managers, it is important that the students become familiar with the business practices and market conditions of privately managed German companies. The internships are supplemented by central courses, field trips and intermediate seminars.
Students should gain knowledge and experience in the following areas of agriculture:
- Production methods in the areas of crop production, animal husbandry and bioenergy
- Business administration and farm management
- marketing
- Nature and environmental protection
- Work organization, occupational safety and employee management
- Ecological and social framework conditions
During their internship, students should become familiar with the German vocational training system and be able to apply and pass on the knowledge and experience gained in Germany in their later professional activities.

Prerequisites
- Your institution or company is a non-governmental organization to which the following applies:
- It is a recognized training company.
- It is located in the Federal Republic of Germany.
- It has experience in the field of education and training.
- It offers internship programs.
- There is considerable interest on the part of the federal government in carrying out the internship project.
- The internship project cannot be carried out without federal funding, or not to the extent necessary.
- You have not yet started the project when you submit your application.
- You are qualified as an applicant.
- Your organization guarantees proper management and can provide evidence that the funds are being used as intended.
- Your organization is not a company in difficulty.
- None of the following proceedings have been applied for or opened against your organization's assets:
- Insolvency proceedings
- composition proceedings
- bankruptcy proceedings
- Sequestration proceedings
- Enforcement proceedings
- There is no recovery order against your organization.

Procedure
You submit the application online:
- Call up the Easy-Online portal, the electronic form system for applications, offers and outlines of the federal government.
- Download the forms for guidelines, information sheets, instructions and ancillary provisions required for your application from the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food's (BLE) form cabinet.
- The portal will guide you step by step through the application and the required supporting documents.
- Submit your application.
- The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) will review your application.
- If the assessment is positive, you will receive a notification of funding
