Description
To use frequencies for analog railroad mobile radio, you need a frequency allocation. You can apply for this from the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA).
Once the BNetzA has carried out a successful compatibility check with other frequency uses in Germany and neighboring countries, the radio stations can be put into operation by your company.
As a rule, frequency assignments in analog railroad mobile radio are limited to 10 years.
If you already have a frequency assignment and the details in your assignment certificate change, please also inform the BNetzA of this using the application form.

Procedure
You can apply online or by post for frequency allocations for analog railroad mobile radio and changes to them.

- Alternatively, you can print out the completed online application and send it together with the documents by post to Division 224 of the BNetzA.

Costs
Fee for frequency assignment:
- A fee is charged for frequency assignment and, under certain circumstances, for refusal of assignment.
- The amount of the fee is determined in accordance with the Special Fee Ordinance of the Federal Network Agency for Frequency Allocations.
Annual fee for frequency assignment:
- As the holder of a frequency assignment, you pay annual fees in addition to the frequency assignment fee.
- The amount of these contributions is determined in accordance with the Frequency Protection Contribution Ordinance.
- The basis for determining the contribution rates is the actual expenses and costs eligible for contributions incurred in a calendar year. These can only be determined retrospectively. A contribution forecast is not possible.
