Request confirmation of insurance from the artists' social security fund

If you are insured through the Künstlersozialkasse, you can prove your insurance status with a current confirmation of insurance.

As an insured person, you may be asked by clients, authorities or other bodies to provide proof of your current insurance status.

If it is not sufficient to present the notice of determination of insurance obligation and the last contribution notification, you can request a current confirmation of your insurance status from the Künstlersozialkasse.

You do not need to submit any additional documents.

• You must be currently insured through the Artists' Social Security Fund.

An appeal is not possible.

You can request your insurance confirmation online, by post or by telephone from the Künstlersozialkasse.

Online request:

• Call up the online form on the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information, which you can enter electronically.
• Note: You will need a valid ELSTER certificate to log in to the online form. Alternatively, you can use your electronic ID document.
• It will take you about 10 minutes to complete the online application.
• First enter your personal details, including your insurance number. You will find this on the letter from the Künstlersozialkasse in the top right-hand corner.
• You can request your insurance confirmation on the next page.

Request by post:

• Let the Künstlersozialkasse know that you need an insurance confirmation.
• Please also state your insurance number. You will find this on the letter from the Künstlersozialkasse in the top right-hand corner.

Request by telephone:

• Have your insurance number ready. You will find it on the letter from the Künstlersozialkasse in the top right-hand corner.
• Call the Künstlersozialkasse.
• Let the Künstlersozialkasse know that you need a confirmation of insurance.

The Künstlersozialkasse will send you the required confirmation of insurance by post.
