Apply to the Jobcenter for subsidies for the training and employment of severely disabled people and people with equivalent status
If you provide in-company training or further training for severely disabled persons and persons with equivalent status, you can receive a training allowance. If you subsequently employ this person on a permanent basis, you can receive a wage subsidy.
Description
Training allowance for severely disabled persons or persons with equivalent status
As a rule, you will receive the training allowance for the entire duration of your training or further education.
The amount of the allowance is determined on an individual basis and depends on the type and severity of the disability and the impact of the disability on the training or further training.
The allowance is paid monthly and, in the case of severely disabled persons or persons with equivalent disabilities, amounts to up to 80% of the monthly training allowance for the last year of training or further training, including the employer's flat-rate contribution to the total social security contribution. In justified exceptional cases, subsidies can be provided up to the amount of the training allowance for the last year of training.
All company measures that involve and focus on vocational training or qualifications for severely disabled people or people with equivalent status can be funded. This also includes dual courses of study, for example, if these include a vocational qualification in accordance with the Vocational Training Act.
Your job center will decide whether you can receive the training allowance. There is no legal entitlement to a subsidy.
Note: The Jobcenter is only responsible if you are a person with a severe disability or equal status.
In the case of people with disabilities, you should submit the application to the relevant employment agency if no other rehabilitation provider is responsible.
Integration grant following initial or further training
If you employ a severely disabled person or a person with equivalent status after completing initial or further training funded by a training grant, the Jobcenter can pay you an integration grant.
The integration subsidy amounts to up to 70 percent of the salary and can be paid out for one year.
However, the specific amount is at the discretion of the Jobcenter.
The job center in whose district the employable person entitled to benefits has his or her habitual residence is responsible. The job center is also responsible for existing employment relationships if top-up benefits are granted in accordance with the Second Book of the German Social Code.
