Training in the logistics sector
As in many professional fields, the demands placed on employees in the logistics sector are also increasing. The range of qualifications required by the logistics sector on the labour market is extremely broad - it includes all training options through to university degrees. Dual training in a company and at a training institution is particularly important - this applies both to vocational training and to studying at a university of cooperative education, for which employment in a company is always a prerequisite.
In addition to numerous vocational training programmes, e.g. as a specialist in warehouse logistics or as a forwarding and logistics services clerk, which are offered by companies and vocational schools almost everywhere in Hesse, there are other logistics professions that are only offered at a few selected locations. This applies, for example, to the profession of professional driver, even though there is currently great demand on the labour market.
There are also special opportunities with a qualified university degree specialising in logistics. Especially in southern Hesse, with its high density of consulting firms, specialised service providers and supply chain management departments of large companies, there are good opportunities to find a job.
