Paying office

As a service provider for the Hessian state administration, the Pay Office looks after around 250,000 active and former employees at two locations (Kassel and Wiesbaden). The Pay Office is responsible for paying the salaries of civil servants, employees covered by collective agreements and pension recipients of the State of Hesse.

In addition, the Payroll Office is the payroll service provider for numerous state-related organisations and institutions that are not directly part of the state administration. The Pay Office is also responsible for the settlement and payment of travel expenses, separation allowances and relocation costs for state employees.
