Citizen's income

Citizen's income replaces unemployment benefit II. The German government has launched a social reform with the Citizen's Income. It replaced unemployment benefit II on 1 January 2023. You can find the new online service for applying for Citizen's Income on the Federal Employment Agency website. The description of benefits for the citizen's allowance is currently being revised; you can still find further information under the service Apply for unemployment benefit II in the administration portal.
