ATTENTION:Department 20 will be closed on February 3, 2026 due to a training measure.
The team of Department 20 (Security and Order) is available to citizens as a contact point for support and advice, particularly in the following matters: immigration and asylum law, naturalization, citizenship, hunting, weapons, explosives (reloaders + fireworks), fishing, supervision of chimney sweeps, money collections, money laundering, assembly law (demonstrations) and many more.
The Central Fines Office punishes all administrative offenses determined by the district administration (e.g. those relating to building, environmental, food, animal welfare, hunting, weapons, immigration, licensing and social law).
However, business registrations, re-registrations or deregistrations are handled by the local regulatory authorities (local authority administration, Wittlich municipal administration or Morbach municipal administration) of the district.
