Die Pflegemedaille des Landes Hessen würdigt seit 2004 Menschen, die Angehörige oder nahestehende Personen über mindestens fünf Jahre unentgeltlich im häuslichen Bereich gepflegt haben.
Description
Since 2004, the state has been awarding the Hessian Care Medal to persons in Hesse for special merits who have cared for and cared for a person in need of care, sick or disabled person who is close to them free of charge in the home for a continuous period of at least 5 years.
Entitled to propose proposals are the churches and religious communities, the associations of independent welfare care, the private commercial associations of elderly and disabled assistance, the State Senior Citizens' Representation Hesse, the Commissioner of the Hessian State Government for Disabled People, self-help groups, the municipalities and districts as well as any natural person.

A proposal for state recognition of a care activity in the domestic sphere is to be addressed informally to the district administrator, the Lord Mayor or the Lord Mayor.
From there, the proposal is forwarded with a statement to the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration for decision.

Prerequisites
Mit der Auszeichnung können Personen in Hessen geehrt werden, die einen pflegebedürftigen, kranken oder behinderten Menschen, der ihnen nahesteht, unentgeltlich im häuslichen Bereich pflegen und betreuen.
- Die Pflege muss über einen zusammenhängenden Zeitraum von mindestens fünf Jahren stattfinden.
- Die Pflegeperson oder die zu betreuende Person muss ihren ständigen Wohnsitz in Hessen haben.
- Die Pflege soll im häuslichen Bereich ausgeübt werden und unentgeltlich sein.
- Die Pflege soll zum Zeitpunkt des Vorschlages, die Pflegeperson zu ehren, nicht länger als ein Jahr zurückliegen.

Procedure
Stellen Sie den Antrag bei der zuständigen Stelle. Sobald eine Entscheidung durch das Auswahlgremium getroffen wurde, erhält die im Antrag vorgeschlagene Person eine Einladung zur Ehrungsveranstaltung.

Long-term care insurance benefits or a small fee do not exclude the honour.
Like other honours of the state of Hesse, the award is not associated with financial recognition or assumption of costs.
