Reporting rats
Description
Rats usually occur where they find sufficient food, shelter and nesting opportunities. They transmit dangerous diseases. Faeces and urine lead to odour nuisance and health hazards.
If you want to report rats, please note the following:
- Property owners must hire a pest controller/exterminator themselves.
- Tenants must first ask the owner to eliminate the problem. (If the landlord refuses this measure, the tenant can contact the responsible public order office. A copy of the tenant's written request must be available.)
- If the perpetrator is demonstrably a third party, please contact the Public Order Office in writing.
- If rats are found in public places , contact the responsible public order office.
