Educational aids
Description
The upbringing and care of a child is primarily carried out by the parents. Sometimes, however, additional assistance from the state may be necessary in education.
Although the assistance is granted to the parents, it is oriented towards the interests of the child or young person. This means that the child or adolescent must be involved in the decisions concerning him/her. Among other things, educational counselling, social group work, educational assistance, care assistants, socio-educational family help, education in a day group, full-time care, home education and other assisted living forms or intensive socio-educational individual care are offered. In addition, the Youth Welfare Office decides on the granting of integration assistance and assistance for young adults and common forms of housing for mothers/fathers and children.
