Property description - extract/information received

Here you can obtain outputs (property descriptions) from the property register.

The real estate cadastre contains descriptive information on all parcels of land in Hesse, including, for example, the parcel and parcel number, the area, the location and the actual use. In addition, the owners of the properties are also recorded in the real estate cadastre in accordance with the land register.

If, for example, you require relevant information about your property for a building project, you can obtain information (property description) from the property register.

The Hessian State Office for Land Management and Geoinformation (HLBG) is responsible.

Information and outputs from the land register can be obtained from the land management offices and via the online portal "Geodaten online".

In principle, any person or body can view the real estate cadastre as a generally accessible source and obtain editions from it. Notwithstanding this, information on the names, dates of birth and addresses of the owners is only made available to persons or bodies that have a legitimate interest in knowing this data.

In principle, no fees are charged for the provision of outputs from the real estate cadastre without ownership details. Fees are charged for checking the legitimate interest in obtaining personal data in accordance with the Administrative Cost Regulations for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing (VwKostO-MWEVW). The exact amount of the fees charged depends on the individual case.
