Apply for permission to use the professional title of state-recognized geriatric care assistant in Germany

If you would like to use the professional title of recognized geriatric care assistant, you will need a permit to do so.

The legally prescribed requirements for the use of the professional title are examined. After a successful examination, permission to use the professional title of state-recognized geriatric care assistant is granted.

Hessian State Office for Health and Care

Please contact the Hessian State Office for Health and Care.

• Medical certificate of fitness (not older than three months),
• Certificate of good conduct according to § 30 paragraph 4 of the Federal Central Register Act (not older than three months),
• Declaration of reliability
  

• You have completed the prescribed training and passed the state examination,
• You have not been guilty of any behavior that would make you unreliable to practice the profession,
• You are not medically unfit to practise the profession,
• You have the knowledge of the German language required for practicing the profession
  

You can file an administrative complaint.

• You fill out the linked PDF application and submit it to the competent authority and upload the required documents if necessary,
• the permit will be issued if the competent authority determines that the legal requirements have been met.
  

The professional title may only be used after permission has been granted.
