Description
If you have applied for a grant for fertility treatment and received a corresponding grant notification, you can have the fertility treatment carried out.
Once you have had fertility treatment, you can apply for payment of the fertility treatment grant within one year of receiving the grant notification.

Required documents
- Original invoices from the reproduction facility and, if applicable, other service providers for the treatment costs as well as health insurance receipts and original prescriptions for the medication purchased
- Proof of benefits relating to the treatment and medication costs from the health insurance fund, the subsidy office or other cost bearers
Prerequisites
The subsidy for fertility treatment can only be paid if:
- You have applied for the subsidy before the start of treatment,
- you have received the grant notification before the start of treatment,
- you have submitted the application for payment to the granting authority within one year of receiving the grant notification,
- the fertility treatment was carried out in accordance with the treatment plan that you submitted when you applied for the grant.

Procedure
Once the treatment has been carried out, you can apply for payment of the grant for fertility treatment by post. If you meet all the requirements, you will receive the payment notification.
The amount to be paid out will be transferred to the account you specified in your application once you have received the payment notification.
Deadlines
The application for payment must be submitted to the granting authority within one year of receipt of the grant notification.

Depending on the number of payment requests.

There are no costs.
Notes (specifics)
The measure is funded proportionately by the federal government and the respective state. The federal government only supports heterosexual married and unmarried couples.
The regulations of the individual federal states may deviate from this.
